Preparation Time: 10 Minutes
Serves: 12 - 14
Ingredients
15 Medjool dates, pitted
30g Dehydrated apple (roughly ½ cup chopped)
¼ cup Walnuts, roughly chopped
½ cup Sprouted oats (or old-fashioned rolled oats)
Directions
Process the Base
In a small food processor, combine the Medjool dates, dehydrated apple, and walnuts.
Pulse repeatedly until the mixture breaks down and begins to stick together, forming a soft, cohesive dough.
Scrape down the sides as needed to ensure everything is evenly processed.
Add Oats
Add the sprouted oats (or rolled oats) to the food processor.
Pulse 3 - 5 times just until the oats are incorporated and the dough holds together when pinched.
Be careful not to over-process, or the balls may become too dense.
Form the Balls
Scoop out approximately 1 - 2 tablespoons of the mixture at a time.
Roll firmly between your palms to form smooth, uniform balls.
If the mixture feels too dry or crumbly, add a teaspoon of water and pulse again.
Store
Place the finished balls in an airtight container.
They can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or frozen for up to 3 months.
