Assemble the Dry Ingredients

  • In a clean bowl, sift together the dry ingredients (all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, sugar).

Cream Butter & Sugar

  • In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.

  • Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and yogurt (or kefir) to the creamed butter‑sugar.

  • Mix until everything is well combined.

Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures

  • Gradually add the dry ingredient bowl to the wet mixture.

  • Stir just until the batter is incorporated, avoid over‑mixing.

Add the Dandelion Petals

  • Gently fold the dandelion flower petals into the batter, preserving their delicate texture.

Fill the Cupcake Liners

  • Spoon batter into each prepared liner, filling each about 2/3 full.

Bake the Cupcakes

  • Bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.

Cool Before Frosting

  • Allow the cupcakes to cool in the tin for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

  • Cool completely before adding frosting or serving.

Cream Cheese Frosting

Combine Butter, Cream Cheese & Salt

Frost the Cupcakes

  • Once the cupcakes are fully cooled, spread or pipe the frosting onto each one.
