Preparation Time: 5 Minutes

Cooking Time: 15 Minutes

Serves: 2

Ingredients

2 cups, unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice

2 espresso shots or 2 tsp dandy blend (if you prefer a caffeine free alternative, if using dandy blend add an additional ¼ cup water)

1 tsp chaga mushroom powder

½ tsp ginger

½ tsp cinnamon

1/8 tsp nutmeg

1/8 tsp allspice

1 - 2 tbsp maple syrup

whipped cream or MCT oil (optional)

Directions

Create the Spice Paste:

  • In a small saucepan, combine the ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and a small splash of milk (about 2-3 tablespoons), just enough to form a smooth paste.

  • Stir until the spices are fully incorporated and no dry spots remain.

Gradually Add Remaining Milk

  • Slowly pour in the rest of the milk while whisking continuously.

  • This gradual addition prevents clumping and ensures the spices are evenly distributed throughout the liquid.

Add Coffee or Dandy Blend

  • Pour the freshly brewed espresso into the pot.

  • If using Dandy Blend: Add ¼ cup water along with the Dandy Blend mixture instead of espresso.

Sweeten

  • Stir in the maple syrup until fully dissolved.

Heat to Simmer

  • Heat the mixture over medium-low heat until it reaches a gentle simmer.

  • Do not boil, this can cause the milk to scald or separate.

  • Keep warm for 1–2 minutes to allow the flavours to meld.

Serve

  • Carefully ladle the hot elixir into your favourite mug(s).

  • Top with a dollop of whipped cream (optional) and a light dusting of extra cinnamon if desired.

Enjoy!
