Preparation Time: 15 Minutes
Cooking Time: 10 - 15 Minutes
Serves: 6 - 8
Ingredients
4 cups apple cider
2 cups cranberry juice, pure unsweetened
1 apple, sliced
1 orange, sliced
3 cloves, whole
3 cinnamon sticks
1 1-inch piece ginger, sliced, fresh
1 tsp allspice berries, whole
¼ cup honey or to taste
Directions
Combine the Base
In a large pot, pour the apple cider and cranberry juice.
Add the sliced apple, sliced orange, cloves, cinnamon sticks, sliced ginger, allspice berries and honey.
Simmer
Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium‑low heat.
Once it’s steaming, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10–15 minutes. This allows the spices and fruit to infuse the liquid without boiling off the delicate flavours.
Add garnish
Remove the pot from the heat.
Transfer to a serving bowl or individual mugs.
Sprinkle a handful of fresh cranberries on top for a pop of colour and a hint of tartness.
Serve
Serve warm.
Enjoy the comforting blend of sweet, tart, and warm spices!
